“The Forest" is a photographic physical and online installation conceived and produced for the Can Framis Museum by the students of the ELISAVA Master in Photography and Design 2023-2024,  in collaboration with Vila Casas Foundation. 

The protagonists of this year’s edition are the members of the so-called Z Generation - young adults aged 18-25, originating from different cultures and communities, who spend their daily lives in El Poblenou in Barcelona.

The Forest is our endeavor to visually vocalize and unite in a coherent visual ensemble the perceptions and aspirations that this generation holds towards the future. The overwhelming events of recent years may have exposed us to an unprecedented vulnerability for which we were not prepared, but amidst the anxiety and ambiguity we have found an ecosystem of optimism and hope. Through a series of testimonials and photography, The Forest sheds light onto these seeds for the future, ensuring for them a space where they can be seen, heard, and grow.
